But before I explain why, if you’re like most people and it’s your first time here, then you might want to know what this website is all about, and the slightly unusual story behind it all. So….

Here’s the scoop…

My name is Brett Young, and I’m the founder of this website. Growing up in a working class family, after high school people thought I might go onto become a steel mill superintendent long side my dad…
But instead, with support from my parents I started my first business ….. A dog food home delivery service.  It grew to over 6000 customers through a lot of hard work and grass roots marketing- with door to door flyers and a newsletter sent by snail mail. ..you see, this was before the internet. I eventually sold it for a profit, but more important, I learned that the key to any successful business is SMART MARKETING.
Then my life took a new direction….
While looking for a new house, I began to research the housing industry and quickly found that real estate offered a huge opportunity. …..one simple postcard brought me over $4.5 million dollars in real estate sales. This discovery would become my future calling and eventually lead me back here….
Everything was going swimmingly UNTIL the real estate bubble burst in 2007. Suddenly, I had to rethink everything. Before, I was consistently earning $250,000+  per year as a realtor/real estate investor. Admittedly, it was pretty easy money. Then, the market tanked, and I suddenly found myself out in the cold. What the heck was I going to do? ……. I discovered online marketing and it changed my life forever…..

Which brings us to this website…

At age 45, I jump feet first into online marketing. At first, I found that there was so much to learn, I become overwhelmed. So I hired a web firm to help me. ….After thousands of dollars and a ton of aggravation, I still didn’t have the web tool I needed. They tried to make my business fit their cookie cutter ideas. The one-size-fits-all web approach just didn’t work for me.  I knew I could do it better and at a lower cost than anyone else. So I spent the next several years researching and learning until I discovered a simple, low cost, do-it-yourself online marketing system that worked and can be applied to most any business.
And that experience taught me 2 things that changed my life:
First: The internet offers so many online marketing tools that it can easily become complicated ad overwhelming, but once you break it down anyone can lean it.
Second: There are many good web marketing companies out there, but most are expensive and don’t know your business the way you do.

And that was a turning point in my life…

I went from near bankruptcy to selling over 900 homes in just 7 years, generating millions of dollars in Real Estate sales. This easy to use, do-it-yourself, low cost, internet marketing system helped me sell hundreds of homes and secured my family’s future forever.

So for the longest time, I kept that secret to myself. Until a few years ago when a Realtor friend of mine asked me to help him grow his real estate business.
And that’s when I realized I was making a terrible mistake.
Because there were other people out there like me, struggling with the high cost and complex nature of internet marketing who with this knowledge could transform their businesses… Taught by someone with a background in business and marketing, who struggled to start and grow his own business…
I decided to launch this company called Simple Ways to Market to teach people across the world how to radically grow their business through easy, low cost, online marketing methods…
